  • Connections Ministry

    Pastor Mary Li was born in China. She earned her Master's degree in Missions from Reformed Theological Seminary in Mississippi in 2003 and has a passion to reach out to the new immigrants from Asia. She desires to share the gospel of God and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Since 2004, she has been working at Alhambra First Baptist Church to communicate the Christian message with relevance to Asian culture and new immigrants' life situation. She trusts that God is the God of the universe and savior for all nations. His grace and promise to forgive our sins are unique and needed for people from all over the world.

    Will Ruth grew up at First Baptist Church of Alhambra and has been a participant in the preschool, elementary, Jr High, and High School ministries. After serving 18 months at a sister church as their Jr High Pastor, God called him back to FBC Alhambra to work with the youth, with the Wednesday night program as his focal point. He actively works to ensure the transition from the children's ministry to the youth ministry as well as the transition with graduating high schoolers goes seamlessly.

    One of First Baptist’s goals is to improve the well-being of homelessness through direct services and advocacy.

    This will be accomplished by providing food, clothing, toiletries, vocational training, counseling, and social services referrals.


    Community Food Bank & Clothes Distribution.  

    Thursday from 1 - 3 pm

    3rd Saturday 10 - 12 pm

    We are also aiming at eradicating hunger in our community by offering food on-sight and through our mobile outreach program to individuals currently without shelter and families in need.

  • Family Ministry

    Raquel Lopez is a dedicated wife and a loving mother of three children who uses this natural experience and energy to head Children's Ministries. Mrs. Raquel has over 20 years of experience working with children in the public and private sector. Her experience includes working with children that have Autism and Down syndrome. She also serves in ministry in the children’s and youth department.
